Praying before the Nativity

The Conference of the Franciscan Family made a petition to Pope Francis, who granted a plenary indulgence for the 800th anniversary of the approval of the Rule of St. Francis (1223) and the Nativity scene of Greccio. The Apostolic Penitentiary gladly accepted the request. The plenary indulgence was made available to all the faithful who could visit a Nativity scene in any church run by the Franciscan Friars all over the world, starting with the day of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and ending with the day of the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord.

We had the opportunity to visit and offer 19 handmade Eucharistic banners and pray before the Nativity scenes in Texas and West Regional Churches, Shrines, and Missions between December 8, 2023 and February 2, 2024.
