National Eucharistic Congress
The First National Eucharistic Congress in 83 Years.
This is a significant moment in both American history and the legacy of the Catholic Church. There are about 200 bishops, 1200 priests, several thousand religious and sixty thousands of pilgrims.
The Congress is a moment for the whole Church in the United States to be united in prayer. Catholics are gathering in Indianapolis, IN from 17 to 21 of July, 2024 for this historic event.
For years, the church faced a crisis, after it discovered only a third of American Catholics, believe that Jesus Christ’s presence resides in the Eucharist, which is a core belief of Catholicism. In hopes of addressing that crisis, the church called for a three-year movement to rekindle American Catholic’s spiritual love and understanding of the Eucharist.
