The Angel of Fatima
The Six Kowtows themselves did not come from the Fatima apparitions, but there is a very strong connection between Fatima and The Six Kowtows revealed by heaven through Lucia Phan almost 100 years later. The connection centers on the 1916 apparitions of the “Angel of Peace” to the little saints, Jacinta and Francisco, and their cousin, Lucia dos Santos (hereafter referred to as simply “Lucia”), who herself is now a “Servant of God” in the canonization process. It is no coincidence that these two messengers have the same name…
Most do not know that there were apparitions that are part of the Fatima message that occurred before and after those of Our Lady in 1917. We will discuss here those that occurred before the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima and how they are directly related to The Six Kowtows.
These earlier apparitions were, in part, psychological preparation for the three young seers. These apparitions progressively move toward the ultimate apparitions of Our Lady. But they were much more than mere preparation. They really are in inseparable part of the Fatima private revelation.
In 1914 or 1915 in Fatima, there were three low-key, mysterious apparitions to Lucia and other girls who were shepherding with her. She said, “[…] before our eyes, we saw a figure poised in the air above the trees; it looked like a statue made of snow, rendered almost transparent by the rays of the sun.” She also said, “It looked like a person wrapped up in a sheet! You couldn’t make out any eyes, or hands, on it.” Elsewhere she describes it as “something like a white cloud in the shape of a human being, which had come down from the sky and was passing slowly in front of us, above the trees that stretched down to the valley at our feet, as if wishing to attract our attention and keep our eyes fixed on it.” She stated, “I do not know what it was nor what it meant. But I was left with an interior conviction which I do not want to conceal, and which tells me that it was the Guardian Angel [of Portugal]. Perhaps in that form and without speaking, he wished to make his presence felt and so prepare souls for the accomplishment of God’s designs.” In Lucia’s words in the next paragraph, we see that these apparitions were of the same Angel who would appear more clearly in a year or so…
In the spring of 1916, Lucia (9-years-old) was shepherding with Francisco (8) and Jacinta (6); they were surprised by the visit of an Angel. Lucia recounts:
Then we saw coming towards us, above the olive trees, the figure I have already spoken about. Jacinta and Francisco had never seen it before, nor had I ever mentioned it to them. As it drew closer, we were able to distinguish its features. It was a young man, about fourteen or fifteen years old, whiter than snow, transparent as crystal when the sun shines through it, and of great beauty. On reaching us, he said, “Do not be afraid! I am the Angel of Peace. Pray with me.” Kneeling on the ground, he bowed down until his forehead touched the ground, and made us repeat these words three times: “My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You! I ask pardon of You for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love You.” Then, rising, he said: “Pray thus. The Hearts of Jesus and Mary are attentive to the voice of your supplications.” His words engraved themselves so deeply on our minds that we could never forget them. From then on, we used to spend long periods of time, prostrate like the Angel, repeating his words, until sometimes we fell, exhausted. [Emphasis added, as below]
After the Angel called them to generously pray and do penance in his second apparition that summer, Lucia related, “It was for this reason that we began, from then on, to offer to the Lord all that mortified us, without, however, seeking out other forms of mortification and penance, except that we remained for hours on end with our foreheads touching the ground, repeating the prayer the Angel had taught us.” Regarding Portugal, he says in the second apparition: “I am its Guardian Angel, the Angel of Portugal.” Before the third and final apparition of the Angel that fall, Lucia wrote,
As soon as we arrived there [a hill where they were shepherding], we knelt down, with our foreheads touching the ground, and began to repeat the prayer of the Angel: “My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love You…” I don’t know how many times we had repeated this prayer, when an extraordinary light shone upon us. We sprang up to see what was happening, and beheld the Angel. He was holding a chalice in his left hand, with the Host suspended above it, from which some drops of blood fell into the chalice. Leaving the chalice suspended in the air, the Angel knelt down beside us and made us repeat three times: “Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I offer You the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifference with which He Himself is offended. And, through the infinite merits of His most Sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of You the conversion of poor sinners.” Then, rising, he took the chalice and the Host in his hands.
As he gave them Holy Communion he said, “‘Take and drink the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, horribly outraged by ungrateful men! Make reparation for their crimes and console your God.’ Once again, he prostrated on the ground and repeated with us, three times more, the same prayer ‘Most Holy Trinity…’ and then disappeared. We remained a long time in this position, repeating the same words over and over again. When at last we stood up, we noticed that it was already dark, and therefore time to return home.”
Because of their ages, he was giving First Holy Communion to Jacinta and Francisco! Who could ever say God is a Pharisee?
The Angel kowtowed and taught the children to pray to God in the kowtow position … and to kowtow before the Eucharist especially. As Lucia recounted, “Impelled by the power of the supernatural that enveloped us, we imitated all that the Angel had done, prostrating ourselves on the ground as he did and repeating the prayers that he said. The force of the presence of God was so intense that it absorbed us and almost annihilated us.” For the children there was no distinction between saying the prayers and kowtowing: it was all one message that the Angel gave. They continued to kowtow in this way the rest of their lives. This is obvious in the following incident. Before Lucia – now a religious sister – received her final apparition (of the Eucharist, the Trinity, and Blessed Mother) on June 13, 1929, in her convent’s chapel, she was kowtowing before the tabernacle while praying the Angel’s prayers.
The fact that she was saying the revealed prayers and kowtowing is significant. At Fatima the Angel taught the three children to kowtow; they did, but the people have not followed since then. This is human nature. People may pray but they will definitely not prostrate in prayer. This is one reason why God revealed The Six Kowtows through Lucia Phan in 2014; this aspect of the Fatima message was not complied with. To be sure, it was not malicious, but we did not, like the children, follow when the Angel said to “Pray thus.” He did not say to merely recite the prayers but to imitate his way of prayer, which was prayer with bodily prostration. This is exactly what is done in The Six Kowtows. So The Six Kowtows is not the first time the kowtow has been revealed in private revelation.
The prayers the Angel revealed are, likewise, related to the revelations through Lucia Phan. Both of the prayers he revealed are Eucharistic prayers, and devotion to the Eucharist is one of the main messages given through Lucia Phan. Four out of the five prayers revealed at Fatima are even incorporated into the Rosary of The Six Kowtows, as inspired by God. The Eucharist is a main thrust of the Angel’s apparitions, and this intense Eucharistic piety is carried over in the locutions given to Lucia Phan that started in 2011.
The Eucharist is “the bread of the angels” (Psalm 78:25). They worship the Eucharist night and day. But we have an advantage over the Angels in that we can receive the Eucharistic Jesus into our very bodies. Being pure spirits, Angels cannot be united with God in this way. We are very fortunate to consume and see Jesus in the Eucharist. The centrality of the Eucharist, though, has been seriously downplayed in recent decades. If Eucharistic devotion had to be promoted by the Angel at Fatima then, how much more so must it be encouraged today, when a large number of Catholics do not even believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, and so receive Him unworthily.
Thus, the new messages focusing on The Six Kowtows and Eucharistic devotion are summed up in the Angel and the visionaries kowtowing before the Eucharist. The ideal way to practice The Six Kowtows is before the Eucharist. (The third focus of the messages to Lucia Phan is end times prophecy, which is not a subject of the Angel of Fatima, but even the end times element is clearly covered in the three-part secret revealed by Our Lady of Fatima in 1917.) It would be too simplistic to say that Lucia Phan is just an extension or updating of the Fatima message, but it is not far off the mark.
While bodily prostration has been practiced since the Old Testament and is practiced in other religions and in Eastern Christianity, kowtowing is a specific type of prostration and it is new to the Catholic world. One can say it was introduced to the Church at Fatima in 1916 by the Angel. Catholics proved themselves resistant to it since then for various reasons. Now, however, as we are deep into the end times, God felt it necessary to re-introduce this practice by revealing The Six Kowtows. Man is lost and must come back to God. And man must humble himself before God with the realities we cannot control at this point. God has made this significantly easier through The Six Kowtows, which Blessed Mother obtained from God for these reasons. Also, if one considers himself or herself to be an adherent of the Fatima message, kowtowing has to be part of that, for it was revealed by none other than the Angel of Fatima who said to “Pray thus” with soul and body. Please help us, dear Angel, to be faithful to this new practice that will lead us back to God, or help us in ongoing, daily conversion if we are already with God.

Hindi mo malalaman ang anumang mga mata, o kamay, dito. ” Saanman inilarawan niya ito bilang “isang bagay tulad ng isang puting ulap sa hugis ng isang tao, na bumaba mula sa kalangitan at dahan-dahang dumaan sa harap namin, sa itaas ng mga puno na dumako hanggang sa lambak sa aming paanan, na parang Nais kong akitin ang aming pansin at panatilihin itong nakatuon dito. ” Sinabi niya, “Hindi ko alam kung ano ito o kung ano ang ibig sabihin nito. Ngunit naiwan ako sa isang paniniwala sa panloob na kung saan ayokong itago, at kung saan sinabi sa akin na ito ay ang Guardian Angel [ng Portugal]. Pagdating namin doon [isang burol kung saan sila nagpapastol], lumuhod kami, na dumadampi ang mga noo sa lupa, at sinimulang ulitin ang dasal ng Anghel: “Diyos ko, naniniwala ako, sambahin ako, umaasa ako at ako ay mahal ka … ”Hindi ko alam kung gaano karaming beses naming ulitin ang pagdarasal na ito, nang sumikat sa amin ang isang pambihirang ilaw. Tumakbo kami upang makita kung ano ang nangyayari, at nakita ang Anghel. Hawak niya ang isang chalice sa kanyang kaliwang kamay, kasama ang Host na nakasuspinde sa itaas nito, kung saan ang ilang patak ng dugo ay nahulog sa kalis. Dahil sa kanilang edad, binibigyan niya ng First Holy Communion sina Jacinta at Francisco! Sino ang makapagsasabing ang Diyos ay isang Pariseo?
Ang Anghel ay kumubkob at nagturo sa mga bata na manalangin sa Diyos sa posisyong kowtow … at upang kowtow bago ang Eukaristiya lalo na. Tulad ng ikinuwento ni Lucia, “Napukaw ng kapangyarihan ng supernatural na bumalot sa amin, ginaya namin ang lahat ng ginawa ng Anghel, na nagpatirapa sa lupa tulad ng ginawa niya at inuulit ang mga panalangin na sinabi niya. Maaaring manalangin ang mga tao ngunit tiyak na hindi sila magpapatirapa sa pagdarasal. Ito ang isang kadahilanan kung bakit ipinahayag ng Diyos Ang Anim na Kowtows sa pamamagitan ni Lucia Phan noong 2014; ang aspetong ito ng mensahe ng Fatima ay hindi nasunod. Apat sa limang mga panalangin na isiniwalat sa Fatima ay isinasama pa rin sa Rosary ng The Six Kowtows, bilang inspirasyon ng Diyos. Ang Eukaristiya ay isang pangunahing tulak ng mga pagpapakita ng Anghel, at ang matindi na kabanalan sa Eucharistic na ito ay dinala sa mga lokasyong ibinigay kay Lucia Phan na nagsimula noong 2011.
Ang Eukaristiya ay “ang tinapay ng mga anghel” (Awit 78:25). Sinasamba nila ang Eukaristiya gabi at araw. Ngunit mayroon tayong kalamangan kaysa sa mga Anghel na maaari nating matanggap ang Eukaristiya na Hesus sa ating mga katawan. Bilang dalisay na espiritu, ang mga Anghel ay hindi maaaring makiisa sa Diyos sa ganitong paraan. Napakaswerte nating ubusin at makita si Hesus sa Eukaristiya. Gayunpaman, ang sentralidad ng Eukaristiya ay seryosong nabawasan sa mga nagdaang dekada. Kung ang Eucharistic na debosyon ay kailangang itaguyod ng Anghel sa Fatima noon, gaano pa kahusay ang paghihikayat nito ngayon, kung ang isang malaking bilang ng mga Katoliko ay hindi maniniwala sa Tunay na Presensya ni Kristo sa Eukaristiya, at sa gayon ay tanggapin Siya nang hindi karapat-dapat.
Sa gayon, ang mga bagong mensahe na nakatuon sa The Six Kowtows at Eucharistic na debosyon ay naibubuod sa Anghel at ng mga visionaryong kumikita bago ang Eukaristiya. Os próprios Seis Kowtows não vieram das aparições de Fátima, mas existe uma ligação muito forte entre Fátima e Os Seis Kowtows revelada pelo céu através de Lucia Phan quase 100 anos depois. A maioria não sabe que houve aparições que fazem parte da mensagem de Fátima que ocorreram antes e depois das de Nossa Senhora em 1917. Discutiremos aqui as que ocorreram antes das aparições de Nossa Senhora de Fátima e como estão diretamente relacionadas com o Six Kowtows.
Essas aparições anteriores foram, em parte, uma preparação psicológica para os três jovens videntes. Essas aparições se movem progressivamente em direção às aparições finais de Nossa Senhora. Mas eles foram muito mais do que mera preparação. Eles são realmente parte inseparável da revelação privada de Fátima.
Em 1914 ou 1915 em Fátima, houve três aparições discretas e misteriosas de Lúcia e outras meninas que a acompanhavam. Ela disse: “[…] diante de nossos olhos, vimos uma figura suspensa no ar acima das árvores; parecia uma estátua feita de neve, tornada quase transparente pelos raios do sol. ” Ela também disse: “Parecia uma pessoa enrolada em um lençol! Você não conseguia distinguir olhos ou mãos sobre ele. ” Em outro lugar, ela o descreve como “algo como uma nuvem branca na forma de um ser humano, que desceu do céu e estava passando lentamente à nossa frente, acima das árvores que se estendiam até o vale a nossos pés, como se desejando atrair nossa atenção e manter nossos olhos fixos nisso. ” Ela declarou: “Não sei o que era nem o que significava. Mas fiquei com uma convicção interior que não quero esconder e que me diz que foi o Anjo da Guarda [de Portugal]. Talvez nessa forma e sem falar, ele desejasse fazer sentir sua presença e assim preparar as almas para a realização dos desígnios de Deus. ” Nas palavras de Lúcia no próximo parágrafo, vemos que essas aparições eram do mesmo Anjo que apareceria mais claramente em um ano ou mais …
Na primavera de 1916, Lúcia (9 anos) pastoreava com Francisco (8) e Jacinta (6); eles foram surpreendidos pela visita de um anjo. Lucia relata:
Então vimos vindo em nossa direção, acima das oliveiras, a figura de que já falei. A Jacinta e o Francisco nunca o tinham visto, nem eu nunca lhes tinha falado. À medida que se aproximava, pudemos distinguir suas características. Era um jovem de cerca de quatorze ou quinze anos, mais branco que a neve, transparente como o cristal quando o sol brilha através dele e de grande beleza. Ao chegar até nós, ele disse: “Não tenha medo! Eu sou o anjo da paz. Ore comigo. ” Ajoelhado no chão, curvou-se até que a testa tocasse o solo, e nos fez repetir três vezes estas palavras: “Meu Deus, creio, adoro, espero e te amo! Peço perdão por aqueles que não acreditam, não adoram, não têm esperança e não te amam. ” Então, levantando-se, disse: “Ore assim. Os Corações de Jesus e Maria estão atentos à voz das vossas súplicas ”. Suas palavras gravaram-se tão profundamente em nossas mentes que jamais poderíamos esquecê-las. A partir daí, passávamos longos períodos prostrados como o anjo, repetindo suas palavras, até que às vezes caíamos exaustos. [Ênfase adicionada, conforme abaixo]
Depois que o anjo os chamou para rezar generosamente e fazer penitência em sua segunda aparição naquele verão, Lúcia relatou: “Foi por isso que começamos, a partir de então, a oferecer ao Senhor tudo o que nos mortificava, sem, no entanto, buscar outras formas de mortificação e penitência, exceto que ficamos horas a fio com nossas testas tocando o chão, repetindo a oração que o Anjo nos ensinou ”. A respeito de Portugal, ele diz na segunda aparição: “Eu sou o seu anjo da guarda, o anjo de Portugal.” Antes da terceira e última aparição do Anjo naquele outono, Lúcia escreveu:
Assim que chegamos lá [um morro onde estavam pastoreando], nos ajoelhamos, com as testas tocando o chão, e começamos a repetir a oração do Anjo: “Meu Deus, eu creio, adoro, espero e eu te amo … ”Não sei quantas vezes havíamos repetido esta oração, quando uma luz extraordinária brilhou sobre nós. Pulamos para ver o que estava acontecendo e vimos o anjo. Ele segurava um cálice na mão esquerda, com a Hóstia suspensa acima, da qual algumas gotas de sangue caíram no cálice. Deixando o cálice suspenso no ar, o Anjo ajoelhou-se ao nosso lado e nos fez repetir três vezes: “Santíssima Trindade, Pai, Filho e Espírito Santo, te ofereço o mais precioso Corpo, Sangue, Alma e Divindade de Jesus Cristo, presente em todos os tabernáculos do mundo, em reparação pelos ultrajes, sacrilégios e indiferença com que Ele próprio se ofendeu. E, pelos infinitos méritos do Seu Santíssimo Coração, e do Imaculado Coração de Maria, rogo-lhe a conversão dos pobres pecadores ”. Então, levantando-se, ele pegou o cálice e a hóstia em suas mãos.
Ao dar-lhes a Sagrada Comunhão, ele disse: “‘ Tomem e bebam o Corpo e o Sangue de Jesus Cristo, terrivelmente indignado por homens ingratos! Reparar seus crimes e consolar seu Deus. “Mais uma vez, ele se prostrou no chão e repetiu conosco, mais três vezes, a mesma oração” Santíssima Trindade … “e depois desapareceu. Permanecemos muito tempo nesta posição, repetindo as mesmas palavras indefinidamente. Quando finalmente nos levantamos, percebemos que já estava escuro e, portanto, era hora de voltar para casa. ”
Pela idade, estava a dar a Primeira Comunhão à Jacinta e ao Francisco! Quem poderia dizer que Deus é fariseu?
O anjo fez uma reverência e ensinou as crianças a orar a Deus na posição de reverência … e especialmente antes da Eucaristia. Como Lúcia contou: “Impelidos pelo poder do sobrenatural que nos envolvia, imitamos tudo o que o Anjo havia feito, prostrando-nos no chão como ele fez e repetindo as orações que ele disse. A força da presença de Deus foi tão intensa que nos absorveu e quase nos aniquilou. ” Para as crianças, não havia distinção entre fazer as orações e prostrar-se: era tudo uma mensagem que o Anjo deu. Eles continuaram a se prostrar dessa maneira pelo resto de suas vidas. Isso é óbvio no seguinte incidente. Antes de Lúcia – agora uma irmã religiosa – receber sua aparição final (da Eucaristia, da Trindade e da Mãe Santíssima) em 13 de junho de 1929, na capela de seu convento, ela estava prostrada diante do tabernáculo enquanto rezava as orações do anjo.
O fato de que ela estava dizendo as orações reveladas e fazendo reverências é significativo. Em Fátima, o Anjo ensinou as três crianças a prostrar-se; eles fizeram, mas as pessoas não seguiram desde então. Esta é a natureza humana. As pessoas podem orar, mas definitivamente não se prostrarão em oração. Esta é uma das razões pelas quais Deus revelou As Seis Kowtows por meio de Lucia Phan em 2014; este aspecto da mensagem de Fátima não foi cumprido. Para ter certeza, não foi malicioso, mas nós, como as crianças, não seguimos quando o Anjo disse: “Ore assim”. Ele não disse para simplesmente recitar as orações, mas para imitar sua forma de oração, que era a oração com prostração corporal. Isso é exatamente o que é feito em As Seis Kowtows. Portanto, Os Seis Kowtows não é a primeira vez que a kowtow foi revelada em uma revelação privada.
As orações que o Anjo revelou são, da mesma forma, relacionadas às revelações de Lucia Phan. Ambas as orações que ele revelou são orações eucarísticas, e a devoção à Eucaristia é uma das principais mensagens transmitidas por Lucia Phan. Quatro das cinco orações reveladas em Fátima foram até incorporadas no Rosário das Seis Kowtows, inspiradas por Deus. A Eucaristia é o impulso principal das aparições do anjo, e essa intensa piedade eucarística é transportada nas locuções dadas a Lucia Phan, que começaram em 2011.
A Eucaristia é “o pão dos anjos” (Salmo 78:25). Eles adoram a Eucaristia noite e dia. Mas temos uma vantagem sobre os anjos porque podemos receber Jesus eucarístico em nossos próprios corpos. Sendo espíritos puros, os anjos não podem se unir a Deus dessa maneira. Temos muita sorte de consumir e ver Jesus na Eucaristia. A centralidade da Eucaristia, entretanto, foi seriamente minimizada nas últimas décadas. Se a devoção eucarística tinha que ser promovida pelo anjo em Fátima então, quanto mais deve ser encorajada hoje, quando um grande número de católicos nem mesmo acredita na presença real de Cristo na Eucaristia, e assim O recebe indignamente.
Assim, as novas mensagens com foco nas Seis Kowtows e na devoção eucarística são resumidas no Anjo e nos videntes que se prostram diante da Eucaristia. A maneira ideal de praticar As Seis Kowtows é antes da Eucaristia. (O terceiro foco das mensagens para Lucia Phan é a profecia do fim dos tempos, que não é um assunto do Anjo de Fátima, mas mesmo do fim dos tempos elemento está claramente coberto no segredo de três partes revelado por Nossa Senhora de Fátima em 1917.) Seria muito simplista dizer que Lúcia Phan é apenas uma extensão ou atualização da mensagem de Fátima, mas não está longe do alvo.
Embora a prostração corporal seja praticada desde o Antigo Testamento e seja praticada em outras religiões e no Cristianismo oriental, a prostração é um tipo específico de prostração e é novo para o mundo católico. Pode-se dizer que foi apresentado à Igreja de Fátima em 1916 pelo Anjo. Os católicos mostraram-se resistentes a ela desde então por vários motivos. Agora, entretanto, como estamos profundamente no fim dos tempos, Deus sentiu que era necessário reintroduzir esta prática revelando As Seis Kowtows. O homem está perdido e deve voltar para Deus. E o homem deve se humilhar diante de Deus com as realidades que não podemos controlar neste ponto. Deus tornou isso muito mais fácil através das Seis Kowtows, que a Mãe Santíssima obteve de Deus por essas razões. Além disso, se alguém se considera um adepto da mensagem de Fátima, a reverência tem de fazer parte disso, pois foi revelada por ninguém menos que o Anjo de Fátima que disse “Reze assim” com alma e corpo.
